Akiba Rubinstein was a great endgame player. We know of several very fine rook endings with which he enriched the world of chess. But he also was responsible for some of the finest attacking games ever played. One of those was his black game against Rotlevi in Lodz 1907, which is sometimes referred to as Rubinsteins' Immortal.
